What to Expect During Your Appointment
The Consultation
Before getting extensions, you’ll have a complimentary consultation with one of our expert stylists. We’ll go over:
- Your current hair color and any plans to change it. It’s important to achieve your desired color before getting extensions, as coloring extensions isn’t ideal.
- Whether you’re aiming for added length, thickness, or both. This helps us determine the best strategy for placement and the number of extensions needed.
- Your natural hair length. Typically, shoulder-length hair is the minimum required for a good blend and to conceal the beadwork.
- How much length you can add while maintaining a natural blend. Generally, we can add up to 10″ past your natural length.
- Your lifestyle, including activity level, hair washing frequency, and current hair products. These factors can affect the longevity of your extensions.
This is the perfect time to ask questions and address any concerns you may have.
The Install
Your first extension installation typically takes 2-4 hours. Here’s what to expect:
- We’ll wash and dry your hair
- The extensions will be carefully applied using our beaded row method
- We’ll blend the extensions with your natural hair

- You’ll get a detailed rundown on at-home care
What to Expect After The Install

Move-Up Apppointments
To keep your extensions looking fresh, you’ll need move-up appointments every 6-8 weeks. For these appointments:
- Come with freshly washed, straight hair
- We’ll adjust the extensions to account for your natural hair growth
- Any necessary maintenance or repairs will be performed
- If you’d like your hair and extensions washed before the move-up, you can add this to your appointment.
